Accomplishments
Auxiliary
Through the Foundation sponsored Auxiliary much needed equipment has been donated for the benefit of a healthy community. In the last decade, the Howard Foundation has donated in excess of $1,800,000 worth of major equipment to upgrade the hospital.
On going and future projects include renovating and upgrades on all patient rooms. Currently four rooms have been renovated and each has been dedicated to a particular theme. One room was renovated in the memory of Mrs. Jane Stetz, wife of Doctor Joseph Stetz, for her dedication to working as a registered nurse at Howard Hospital. Another, the community Room, is decorated with artifacts and photographs of various areas of the community.
There seems to be a never-ending need for medical assistance, and though the costs are staggering, the Foundation attempts to help when and where they are able. The Foundation has donated assistance to those who are unable to pay.
